‘Tis the season of reflection, which for me means thinking about some of the events this past year that made it special for the School of Journalism. This list is not meant to be complete, and is in no particular order.

Fulfilling the new Cross-Cultural Perspective requirement

Students who graduate under our new semesters-based curriculum will have a new General Requirement to fulfill: an Cross-Cultural Perspectives course.

Courses meeting this requirement (see list) are all Tier II “CP” courses as well as some additional courses identified by the journalism faculty as meeting the intent.

OU students are dressed in the protective gear to tour the Mopani copper mines in the Copperbelt region, Kitwe Province. That’s where they were to go underground at the copper mines. 80% of Zambia’s GDP is based on the copper mining industry.
