Schuneman Symposium to look at coverage of social movements

by Robert Stewart, Director

How are social movements shaped by the news coverage they receive? That’s the central question of the 2012 Schuneman Symposium, scheduled for April 10-11.

Before going into detail about the program, I want to extend my gratitude to Smith and Pat Schuneman, who generously share with us the means to make this event possible. Both are alums of Ohio University, and both share a deep love for the institution. The symposium series, which started in 2009, reflects their keen desire to be active learners, and to foster ongoing discussion about the importance of words and pictures.
