Grad student wins Emmy

First-year masters student Allison Hunter (BSJ ’89) has won an Emmy Award as Executive Producer for the WYCC/PBS Chicago interview program, “Off 63rd.” The category was Outstanding Achievement for Interview/Discussion Programming.

Hunter currently teaches broadcast journalism courses for the school. She received her BSJ from the E.W. Scripps School of Journalism in 1989. She has worked as a producer and executive producer in commercial and public stations across the country, including in Dayton, Cincinnati, Cleveland, Chicago, Boston and Los Angeles. She is originally from New York.

Hunter’s award was presented during the 53rd Chicago/Midwest Emmy Awards.
