More, more, more content

The JSchool’s Web site features much more content as of today. New topic-specific sections have been added, making it easier to find exactly the information you seek, and some you might not even expect.

Sequence-specific pages feature interviews with the top graduating senior for that area of study. These interviews give prospective students and students still enrolled a chance to learn from top students some important life lessons.

We’ve also added thematic and special-project pages, on business journalism, sports journalism, international journalism, community journalism, election-related courses, Honors Tutorial (journalism), etc.. These are some areas of particular interest among the faculty and students.

One result of these specialty pages is that users of the Web site can locate headlines, internships, scholarships, etc., targeted at particular professions in journalism. Each of these has an RSS feed as well, which means you can subscribe to the content pertinent to your professional goals.

We’ve also added an alumni page ( that features news about and from (via blogs) our alumni. Please let us know if you have a blog, or any other news that we can feature on this page.

Finally, hats off to Bryan Duffie, who designed and programmed the new Web site. Bryan, a 2005 Viscom graduate, continues to provide support for the page, which will allow us to roll out more features in the coming months and years.
