Public relations, media relations, social media, journalism on the Web
B.S.J, summa cum laude, Ohio University, 1998
Someone once told me that work can be what you do or who you are. I’m an Ohio Bobcat. I’m also proud to be teaching and advising at a school I love.
As a visiting instructor, I develop lecture materials, book special guests to offer real world PR perspective and initiate new efforts to incorporate evolving media into the university’s educational infrastructure.
I’m also blessed to advise the Hugh M. Culbertson chapter of PRSSA at Ohio University. These students organize a series of events to better their educational experience and the community around them.
I’m also a business owner with more than thirteen years of interactive communications and public relations experience. I’ve earned more than two-dozen awards for my work with TV, print and the web, with work appearing on CNN, MSNBC and sportsillustrated.com.
My various roles have included project manager, strategic brand developer, media relations adviser, social media consultant, content manager, web and video producer, copywriter, news reporter, anchor and sports guy.
My newest role is that of dad. I live in Dublin with my wife Melanie and daughter Leah, who will be graduating from Ohio University in 2033.
