2012 IHS Graduate Summer Seminars
Applications for Institute for Humane Studies Summer Seminars are now available. The Scholarship & A Free Society seminar will take place June 23–29 at Towson University in the Baltimore, MD area.
The program connects graduate students with today’s leading liberty–oriented thinkers, introduces cutting–edge research informed by classical liberal principles, and offers the opportunity to connect with fellow emerging scholars. Graduate students from all disciplines and stages of completion will benefit from time, insight, and feedback from top scholars and one another.
--Early stage students can find inspiration to shape future research and hone dissertation topics.
--Advanced students have the chance to receive feedback on work, and learn how to take research to the next level and pursue a successful career in academia.
This year’s faculty includes economist Peter Boettke, philosopher David Schmidtz, law professor Todd Zywicki, and historian Steve Davies.
Students can also apply to attend the Liberty & Society seminar for Graduate Students or one of the other topical Summer Seminars taking place at scenic college campuses throughout the country.
IHS provides full scholarships to all attendees, which covers lectures, housing, meals, and materials. Participants only pay for travel. Advanced undergraduates, graduate students, and recent graduates are eligible.
Application deadline: March 31
