Apply Now: CFR 2018-2019 Edward R. Murrow Press Fellowship
The Council on Foreign Relations (CFR) is seeking applicants for the 2018–2019 Edward R. Murrow Press Fellowship.
Launched in 1949, the program seeks to promote the quality of responsible and discerning journalism that exemplified the work of Edward R. Murrow. One resident fellowship is awarded each year to a distinguished foreign correspondent or editor. The fellow spends ten months in residence at CFR’s headquarters in New York engaging in sustained analysis and writing, free from the daily pressures that characterize journalistic life.
The 2017–2018 fellow is Janine di Giovanni, who most recently was a Middle East Editor at Newsweek. A complete list of former Murrow fellows can be found online.
The Council on Foreign Relations (CFR) is an independent, nonpartisan membership organization, think tank, and publisher dedicated to being a resource for its members, government officials, business executives, journalists, educators and students, civic and religious leaders, and other interested citizens in order to help them better understand the world and the foreign policy choices facing the United States and other countries.
CFR takes no institutional positions on policy issues and has no affiliation with the U.S. government. All views expressed in its publications and on its website are the sole responsibility of the author or authors.
