Social Media Internship at TOL Education

Location: can be carried-out remotely

Schedule: flexible

Transitions Online is looking for an intern to fill our social media position. One of the main responsibilities of the intern will be to manage all of Transitions’ social media accounts, which includes:

- making Facebook posts

- live tweeting stories

- writing additional posts on other social media platforms

The intern will be working with editors to identify content that is important to help us expand our audience, engage our readers, and promote our stories across all media platform. In addition, we expect our intern to help endorse other programs within Transitions Online such as our TOL Education training courses, workshops and conferences.


The ideal candidate would be a native speaker in English with a journalism-related or social media background. They should be excited about building Transitions Online social media presence.

He or she should have extensive understanding on social media platforms such as Facebook, Twitter. They should also be inherently interested in the news and journalism education.

Please note that this internship does not require you to work in our office but we ask for a minimum of 2 hours 5 times a week for at least 3 months (Monday till Friday).


This internship is unpaid. All costs related to travel, accommodation, health insurance and living expenses are the responsibility of either the interns or their sponsoring institutions.

The interns are responsible for obtaining and financing the necessary visas.

An internship does not constitute a commitment to future employment with Transitions. However, the interns can use their supervisors and colleagues as references when applying for jobs.
