BakerHostetler is seeking a biographer for the marketing department in the Cleveland office. This is great for those who seek professional and personal growth in a collaborative environment.


- Conduct thorough interviews with attorneys

- Develop, write, edit and proofread all attorney biographies

- Prepare announcements to support new attorney arrivals

- Maintain accuracy and completeness of biographies (hard copy and on website)

- Stay up-to-date of Firm practice group priorities and activities, as well as news and current events

- Ensure consistency of information across all platforms

- Support and back up the Firms senior writers when necessary


- Bachelor’s degree in Journalism, English or related field

- 1-2 years of experience

- Demonstrated proficiency in Microsoft Office Suite including Word, Outlook, PowerPoint, Access and


- Exceptional writing, proofreading and editing skills

- Top grammatical skills and a strong

adherence to editorial guidelines

- Ability to speak effectively with all levels of clients and professional and support staff

- Interpersonal communication skills necessary to maintain effective relationships with partners, attorneys, clients and


- Exhibit a high degree of responsiveness, diplomacy and professionalism in these


- Ability to respond to common inquiries or complaints from all levels of professional and support staff, clients

- Ability to write business correspondence, reports, and articles for publication that conform to

prescribed style and format
