Community Engagement Photography and Media Internship

The Center for Campus & Community Engagement (CCCE) is looking for a creative and motivated student intern to help us grow our media content and marketing strategy and expand awareness of the CCCE and Community Engagement at Ohio University. The intern will be responsible for capturing images (photo and

video)and stories of a broad range of community engagement activities between Ohio University students, staff, faculty, and community partners. This position will require local travel to project sites throughout the SE Ohio region.

Responsibilities include:

  • Collect images and stories related to: volunteering, community-based internships, C-Courses, community engaged research, networking events, trainings, and other Campus-Community partnerships or CCCE programming.

  • Edit photo/video files for social media, publications, and website use

  • Organize and manage media files

  • Develop press releases for print media

  • Develop content fore-newsletter and website

  • Develop and manage social media content and campaigns

    Additional qualifications:

  • Demonstrated photography and videography experience, including editing skills

  • Excellent written and verbal communication skills

  • Strong familiarity with social media platforms

  • Expertise in photo/video editing software, such as Adobe Photoshop

  • Experience in collaborative and creative professional environments

  • Respectful and committed to ethical engagement, possesses cultural humility

  • Strong interpersonal skills: Must be comfortable working with diverse communities and managing diverse stakeholder relationships

  • Ability to work a flexible schedule in order to attend events as needed

  • Access to photography equipment

  • Access to personal transportation strongly preferred
