Marketing and Public Relations Position and Nationwide Children’s
We are seeking an Intern in Corporate Communications Recent grads encouraged to apply.
This position would work with the corporate communication team to develop and execute effective digital communication strategies for communicating with Nationwide Children’s Hospital’s 4,000 daily patients and more than 12,000 employees via our network of 350+ full-color digital signs located across our hospital buildings and 20+ offsite locations.
The ideal candidate likes to write and is good at it, has experience writing succinctly for digital media and working with a content management system while adhering to brand standards. Our office is fast paced, fun and a can-do attitude is essential.

What Will You Be Doing?
Opportunities include, but are not limited to:
Writing for various channels, or methods of communication, for print, web and email newsletters
Learning the complex digital signage network and updating content daily
Managing client requests for digital signs by working with designers in Creative Services
Helping with training sessions for Nationwide Children’s staff from around the hospital on their local digital sign
Provide project support, including meeting deadlines and working with teams across the hospital
Share ideas and creativity to other peers as requested
Track and analyze data for channels to guide decision-making
What Are We Looking For?
To fulfill this role successfully, you must possess these minimum qualifications and experience:
Working toward or recently completed a degree in communications, web communications, public relations, marketing or related field
Specialized knowledge in: writing, digital communications, editing, web-based editorial development and basic project management
Familiarity with content management systems or willingness to learn a new software system
Excellent time management skills and the ability to work independently and as part of a team
Great written communication skills; ability to proofread
A positive, flexible attitude
Ability to think outside the box and find new, creative ways to engage employees through multiple electronic channels.
Minimum Physical Requirements:
Ability to lift objects weighing up to 20 lbs (Occasionally)
Talking on the telephone and in person
Typing on a keyboard (Frequently)
