The immediate assignment for this journalist will be taking the lead on coverage of the presidential campaign in how it is playing out in a pivotal region of the United States. This person will produce distinctive and competitive stories that uncover news and capture key national political trends. In non-presidential years, the journalist's focus will be to aggressively report spot and enterprise political news, across formats, and drive state and national political coverage from his or her base in Georgia.  </p>

The position places a premium on accountability and investigative reporting for a state, regional, national and global audience. The Content Producer/VJ has general responsibility for accurate, relevant and timely news coverage and organizing, arranging and presenting our news content in a coherent, relevant, compelling way to our audiences on multiple media, serving people with news that leads the market as first, as most relevant, most compelling, and most useful with an emphasis on visual presentation and performance. This position involves strong news judgment along with high levels of creativity, communication, language skills and professionalism.</p>

RESPONSIBILITIES:</p>

Duties include, but are not limited to:  ability to organize information and personnel, coordinating them for most effective and efficient delivery of information to our audiences.  The Content Producer/VJ coordinates with other news staff to process information for fast, accurate dissemination, making news judgments about content importance, content presentation and content distribution. The position is also responsible for knowledge of the community, story idea generation, live news coverage, fact gathering, attribution, writing, reporting, video recording &amp; editing, objectivity, interviewing, transporting equipment and using it for news coverage, etc. </p>

Qualifications include: media-related bachelor’s degree or equivalent job experience in journalism, understanding of visual/audio storytelling, graphics, ability to cover news independently, edit, write and report accurately and creatively under deadline pressure, and understanding of newsroom operations and basic professional news coverage practices.  News judgment, decisiveness, strong ability to handle/meet deadlines, exceptional writing/grammar skills, positive ability to work well with other staff, strong on-air presence need to be first and accurate with news coverage, working knowledge of new media, and willingness to take direction as a team player are essential.  Must maintain a permanent residence within 30 minutes of station and meet physical requirements of the position. Excellent oral and written communication skills are essential.  A valid driver's license is required.</p>

<content:encoded><![CDATA[<p>KWWL Television (NBC – Waterloo, Iowa) is seeking a highly motivated Operator for its award-winning, state of the art production and master control facility. This position would be primarily responsible for operating/performing all duties related to Master Control. This position will also back up the automated production center for newscasts, promotions, special projects, and other productions.</p>

<p>
This is not an entry level position. We are looking for someone who is a multi-tasking specialist, someone who knows what the goal is and how to achieve it!</p>

<p>
QUALIFICATIONS:</p>

<p>
*College degree, or 4 years of equivalent work experience, in broadcast television.<br>*Knowledge of standard practices in an automated production environment.<br>*Knowledge of standard practices in a non-automated Master Control environment.<br>*Must possess the ability to make quick, accurate decisions.<br>*Knowledge/Operation of a variety of computer operating systems, and the ability to learn new programs quickly and effectively.<br>*Knowledge/Operation of Adobe Production Suite, with emphasis in Photoshop, AfterEffects, and Encore.<br>*Willingness to perform primary problem-solving actions when dealing with equipment and possess the ability to report any problems accurately.<br>*Ability to effectively communicate in a fast-paced environment.<br>*SBE Certification<br>*Knowledge of basic editing, linear and non-linear<br>*Knowledge of the Vision line of Ross Switchers, Ross Overdrive Automation, Yamaha audio consoles, Xpression graphics system, preferred.<br>*Knowledge of broadcast lighting, set design, and maintenance engineering are a plus.</p>

<p>
Requirements:<br>*Physically ability to lift 50 lbs, climb tall ladders, move studio cameras and set pieces.<br>*Must have valid state driver’s license and acceptable driving record. <br>*Speech and Hearing abilities that allows for ability to hear and respond to equipment and other crew members.<br>*Vision ability to see all monitoring equipment effectively.<br>*Possess manual dexterity to quickly move between various positions and respond accurately with necessary corrective measures.</p>

<content:encoded><![CDATA[<p>Money, the nation's largest personal finance magazine, is seeking a full-time freelance reporter.  </p>

<p>
RESPONSIBILITIES:</p>

<p>
The majority (80%) of this position will be editorial work-the responsibilities include following a beat and pitching stories on that topic, writing front-of-book articles, finding real people anecdotes for features, creating data visualizations, helping senior writers with background reporting, and fact checking.</p>

<p>
The other 20% of the job will involve assisting the magazine's managing editor with administrative tasks, such as answering phones, making travel arrangements, coordinating his schedule, submitting expense reports, and helping with presentation preparation.</p>
